OTTAWA- Centrefield Sports in London, Ontario is providing a fantastic opportunity for players 9-18 years-old to receive instruction from professional players with proceeds going to Baseball Canada’s National Teams Program.
Owned and operated by former National Team player Adam Stern, Centrefield Sports will welcome three-time Major league All-Star Sean Casey, former first round draft pick Scott Thorman and two-time Olympian Pete Orr to the indoor facility on January 8th to conduct a pair of hitting clinics.
Two separate clinics will take place with players aged 9-13 forming one session and players aged 14-18 forming the other.
"The fact that the (big league) guys want to come out to Centrefield Sports for this event shows how much they care about the future of the game in our country and how much they care about an organization like Baseball Canada. It's a win win situation for everybody."
On January 9th, the pitchers will get down to work with instruction from former Toronto Blue Jay and 13 year MLB veteran Paul Quantrill, former first round picks Chris Reitsma and Jeff Francis who combine for over 15 years of big-league experience and current Milwaukee Brewers closer Jim Henderson.
Once again, two separate sessions will take place for players aged 9-13 and 14-18.
All registered players will receive a Blue Jays Academy Roberto Alomar dri-fit shirt, plus all players will be entered into a draw for a signed Edwin Encarnacion Bat, a Brett Lawrie Bat and a Roberto Alomar Hall of Fame Jersey.
Cost per session is $95 per player and if you wish to sign up for both the hitting and pitching clinics, you can do so for $170.
Registration will fill-up fast so be sure to sign up today!
